Environmental Department

LEAD

The Department of Environmental has as its focus, the preparation of men and women in the field of construction readiness via Asbestos, Lead, OSHA and Hazardous Waste. Our courses at most last one week. Our courses are DLS, OSHA, and EPA approved. Students who take our courses are guaranteed readiness to enter the work force. Our instructors are trained with practical work experience making learning relatable for our students.

Lead Contractor/Supervisor, LCSI Initial

The Lead Contractor/Supervisor initial course is a program that prepares individuals to receive Certification to work as a licensed Lead supervisor. The program is designed to equip and train a supervisor to oversee any Lead Project. Upon completion of the program, students will have acquired key understandings in the areas of Health Hazards, State and Federal regulations, Safe work practices, Project Manager, Legal and Insurance issues. After successfully passing the final exam students will receive a certificate recognized by DLS. Students will also become license eligible.

32 HOURS

Lead Contractor/Supervisor Refresher, LCSR 

Lead Contractor/Supervisor refresher course is a program that offers information on any changes in regulations and reviews current regulations as well as review safe work practices. Upon completion of hours and successful final exam students will receive a certificate of completion approved by DLS. Students will also be able to renew their license.

8 HOURS

Lead Worker Initial, LWI

The Lead Worker initial course is a program that helps individuals obtain their Lead Worker State license. Upon completion of the course: Introduction, Health Hazards, Medical Surveillance, and Safe Work Practices as well as pass final exam students will receive a certificate approved by the DLS. Students will also become license eligible.

24 HOURS

Lead Worker Refresher, LWR 

The Lead worker refresher program helps individuals renew their lead license in accordance with state and federal law. The program offers information on any changes in regulations as well as reviews safe work practices. Upon completion of hours and successful final exam students will receive a certificate of completion acknowledged by the DLS. Students will also be able to renew their license.
